Description

The dataset contains survey responses from 532 adult swimmers, with one participant per row. It includes age, gender, swimming experience, weekly training, and competitive level. It also contains 17 passion items and 10 CD-RISC resilience items, together with their total scores. The workbook includes separate README, Data, and Codebook sheets explaining the variables and scoring.

Steps to reproduce

Collect online responses from adult swimmers. Measure HP, OP, CP, and CD-RISC-10 total scores. Standardize the continuous predictors and appropriately code gender and competitive level. Regress resilience on the covariates, CP, HP, and OP before adding the HP × OP interaction and examining the change in *R*². Probe the interaction by estimating the association between OP and resilience at low, average, and high levels of HP and comparing the four passion profiles. Finally, test the HP × OP × age interaction and compare the prevalence of the high-OP/low-HP profile across age groups.
