Description

This dataset contains the coding matrix supporting the systematic review entitled “Cultural modulation of food experience cues in international restaurant contexts: A systematic review”. The matrix includes the studies retained after the systematic search, screening and eligibility assessment conducted for the review. The dataset provides structured information for each included study, including study ID, authors, publication year, title, document type, cultural context, cue category, response type, thematic domain, relevance for international restaurant contexts and evidence contribution to the qualitative synthesis. The matrix was used to organise and synthesise evidence on how cultural context modulates consumer responses to sensory, spatial, social and digital food experience cues in restaurant and hospitality settings. The literature search was conducted in Scopus, Web of Science and APA PsycNet on 25 March 2026 and covered publications from 1 January 2013 to 25 March 2026, with no language restriction. The dataset is intended to support transparency, reproducibility and reuse of the review process.
