Long-range freeze-preventive vaccine carriers in Nepal: thermal data
Description
This open repository comprises data recorded by LogTag® TRIX-8 electronic temperature monitors to measure the temperatures of freeze-preventive vaccine carriers, standard vaccine carriers, and ice-pack freezers. The measurements were collected over two phases from 24 health posts in Nepal. Within each phase, there were multiple rounds of data collection, each lasting approximately one month. For each health post, the files contain temperature measurements taken from four locations: inside the freeze-preventive vaccine carrier, inside the standard vaccine carrier used for comparison, inside the freezer that the site used to freeze its ice packs (when available), and the ambient environment outside of the vaccine carrier. Files have been converted from native LogTag format to a CSV format but are otherwise unaltered. This dataset provides information about the thermal performance of freeze-preventive vaccine carriers compared to standard vaccine carriers under different environmental conditions and with varying ice-pack freezer reliability.
