Description

This study involves the effect of a comprehensive physiotherapy protocol to improve muscle mass, muscle strength, functional ability and quality of life in postmenopausal women with type-2 diabetes mellitus. Outcome measures used were the InBody270 to analyse body composition, which includes overall score, weight, skeletal muscle mass, and body fat percentage; the Back-Leg-Chest Dynamometer to check muscle strength of back and leg muscles; the Hand-held Dynamometer to check grip strength; and the Sarcopenic Quality of Life (SarQoL) Questionnaire to check quality of life taken at baseline and after six weeks.
