An Optimized Dataset for Off-grid Nomadic Yurt in Astana, Kazakhstan
Description
This dataset provides a comprehensive hourly simulation of a full-year (2024) operational analysis for an off-grid Yurt powered by a hybrid solar-wind-battery system. It includes detailed time-series data on solar irradiance and PV output, wind speed and turbine generation, battery state of charge and power flow, electrical load demand served and unmet, and key system performance metrics like renewable penetration and excess production. The weather data were accessed from NASA and used in Homer Pro for the demand-side optimization using Genetic algorithm (GA) and Dynamic programming (DP). The data captures the complete energy balance, weather dependencies, and power conversion processes, offering a complete picture of the system's reliability, efficiency, and seasonal variations for a remote, self-sufficient renewable energy setup.
