Description

MpoxPlex is a multiplexed assay measuring serum IgG antibodies specific to twelve Mopox virus (MPXV) and vaccinia (VACV) antigens. These antigens include VACV proteins B5, A27, A33, and MPXV proteins E8, B6, B2, M1, A27, A35, H3, A29, A5.  To assess the characteristics of MpoxPlex, a number of negative, post-smallpox vaccination and post-MPXV infection samples were run through the assay. This data repository file contains the mean fluorescence intensities (MFI) achieved for each sample against each antigen in the assay. Samples are split into three categories based on their exposure history: no exposure (NEGATIVE tab), post-vaccination with the IMVANEX vaccine (VACCINATED tab) and post-infection with MPXV (MPXV tab). Samples are listed with a unique identifier (UI), their date of birth (DOB) and sex if known, and any confounding condition (negative confounding cohort only). Samples are also grouped into the following: confounders (samples from individuals with a pre-existing condition), paediatric, pre-IMVANEX, MPX (infected with MPXV during the 2022 outbreak), His.MPX (infected with MPXV before the 2022 outbreak) and 14-240 days post-dose 1 or 2 of IMVANEX. Additional sample details can be found in the preprint: https://doi.org/10.1101/2024.06.03.24308186.
