Dataset of Ozone (O3) and Carbon Monoxide (CO) concentrations measured at a neighborhood-level air quality monitoring station
Description
The dataset was collected in Cadereyta, Nuevo León, Mexico, from March 1 to June 30, 2024. The monitoring station is located in an area with varying characteristics related to potential sources of carbon monoxide (CO) emissions and other ozone precursor pollutants (O3). This air quality monitoring station is situated in a residential area between two boulevards with heavy vehicular traffic, as well as a nearby highway (less than 600 meters away) that sees significant traffic from high-capacity tractor-trailer trucks. Additionally, an oil refining plant is located within a distance of less than 4.5 km. O3 concentrations (ppb) were measured using a ZE25 sensor, while CO concentrations (ppm) were obtained with a low-cost, calibrated MQ series sensor, sampling every 3 minutes. Meteorological variables, including temperature (°C), relative humidity (%), and barometric pressure (hPa), were measured with a Bosch BME280 sensor.

Steps to reproduce
The air quality monitoring station, equipped with low-cost sensors, was installed at an average height of 9 meters above ground level. The sensors were calibrated using a co-location method. 1. The "NL_O3_CO_v2.csv" file contains the raw data on air pollutant concentrations, with some missing records due to a power failure. 2. The "NL_O3_CO_v2_imputed.csv" file contains the raw data of air pollutant concentrations and imputed data on the O3 and CO attributes, calculated using an interpolation technique with the "linear", "spline" (polynomial), and "stine" methods. The file includes the values calculated by each method.
