Description

Sensor log from the crop growth chamber's controlled validation run (13–31 December 2024), recorded at ~15-minute intervals. Includes soil moisture, temperature, electrical conductivity, pH, and N-P-K readings from the chamber's soil probe, alongside controller setpoints for temperature, humidity, and heat index. This chamber run was used to validate controller performance against environmental conditions derived from field data collected in Sindh Province, Pakistan.

Steps to reproduce

1. A crop growth chamber was constructed and fitted with a centralised fuzzy-logic-based controller integrated with a sensor–actuator network (water pump, pesticide sprayer, sunlight-simulation unit, and rain/spray actuator). 2. Reference environmental conditions (temperature, humidity, and heat index) derived from field data collected in a cotton-growing region of Sindh Province, Pakistan, were programmed into the controller as target setpoints (see SPTemperature, SPHumidity, and SPHeatIndex columns in the dataset). 3. The controller continuously compared live chamber sensor readings against these setpoints and actuated the water pump, sunlight simulation, and rain actuator to bring the chamber environment into alignment with the programmed field-derived conditions. 4. A soil probe positioned in the chamber's growth bed logged soil moisture (%), soil temperature (°C), electrical conductivity (µS/cm), pH, and nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium concentrations (ppm) at approximately 15-minute intervals. 5. Data were logged continuously from 13–31 December 2024 using the chamber's onboard data-logging system and exported to the accompanying spreadsheet. 6. No filtering, smoothing, or averaging was applied after logging; the deposited file contains the raw sensor readings as recorded.
