Description

This dataset contains the experimental and characterization data supporting the research article titled “Spherical anatase TiO₂-supported Co–Pd catalysts for direct CH₄–CO₂ coupling to ethanol via the stepwise conversion”. The study focuses on the development of a spherical anatase TiO₂-supported Co–Pd bimetallic catalyst (Co7–Pd3.5/s-TiO₂) for the stepwise conversion of CH₄ and CO₂ into ethanol in a dual-tube fixed-bed reactor. The dataset includes raw and processed data related to catalyst synthesis, structural and surface characterization, and catalytic performance evaluation. Specifically, it covers X-ray diffraction (XRD) patterns, scanning electron microscopy (SEM) images, N₂ adsorption–desorption isotherms and pore size distribution (BET analysis), NH₃ temperature-programmed desorption (NH₃-TPD), pyridine-adsorbed infrared spectroscopy (Py-IR), and in situ diffuse reflectance infrared Fourier transform spectroscopy (in situ DRIFTS) results. Catalytic performance data, including product distribution, ethanol selectivity, and space-time yield under different reaction conditions, are also provided. All catalytic tests were conducted at atmospheric pressure and 150 °C using a self-designed dual-tube fixed-bed stepwise reactor. These data support the conclusions that spherical single-anatase TiO₂ enhances metal–support interaction and active site dispersion, while modulating surface acidity to favor C–C coupling and improve ethanol selectivity.
