Description

This repository contains the raw data (.xlsx file ) and data analysis (R script) for the comparison between hypothetical and real consumable (liquid) rewards in delay discounting tasks. For this study 24 participants completed 10 sessions according to an ABCBC or BACBC reversal design. Conditions were defined as: A= Hypothetical-Rewards condition, B= Real-Rewards Waiting-Delays condition, and C= Real-Rewards Postponing-Delays (videogame available during the delay for the LLR) condition. The primary dependent variable reported in the article used the Area Under the Curve of the log-transformed delays (AUCLogd) described by Borges et al (2016). AUCLogd values were calculated using the discAUC R package (Friedel, 2023) with a Log10 base. The provided R script replicates the ART-ANOVA, pairwise comparisons, and the other analyses reported in the associated article.
