Description

The dataset describes the Raman and specular Reflectance spectra of four gemstones: single crystal Diamond (SCD), Cubic Zirconia (CZ), Moissanite (SiC) and Quartz (SiO2) .

The Raman spectra is measured with a Horiba Explora plus-confocal Raman microscope system. The Raman spectra are excited with 532 nm Laser, set at 1 mW power in reflection mode. With a 5x/0.1 NA objective, the Raman signal is recorded with a 1800 grooves/mm grating-coupled Peltier cooled Syncerity CCD spectrometer. The specular reflectance spectra of the four gemstones, is collected at normal incidence with an Agilent Cary UV-VIS spectrometer from 200 nm to 1000 nm at 1 nm resolution.
