Replication package for "The Rise and Fall (and Rise) of the Affordable Care Act: Varying Impacts on Coverage Over Time and Place"

Description

This package, which includes both .do files and raw data, builds a household-level-year dataset for decomposing the effects of the Affordable Care Act's (and the American Rescue Plan and Inflation Reduction Act's) Marketplace subsidies, the ACA's Medicaid expansion, and the individual mandate on health insurance outcomes, using microdata from the American Community Survey, Marketplace premium data, Medicaid eligibility data from KFF, and state-level ideology data from the Cooperative Election Study.
