Description

PubMed, OVID, Scopus, and Web of Science were searched for cases of overlapping vulvar vitiligo and LS. Publications including reviews, reports without concurrent LS and vitiligo, and non-English studies were excluded. Seven studies involving 38 patients with vulvar LS and concomitant extragenital vitiligo (3), vulvar vitiligo (2), or unspecified vitiligo (33) were included. Clinical symptoms and findings for LS included pruritis, burning, dyspareunia, and textural changes (atrophy, lichenification, hyperkeratosis), while vitiligo was characterized by depigmented macules, and trichome.
