Description

Shear wave elastography obtained from 14 individuals at three different angles (knee flexion 0, 45 and 90 degrees) and active contractions of the knee flexors at 70% of the maximum voluntary contraction. Steps to reproduce

Participants performed passive and active (submaximal) knee flexion efforts from 0°, 45° and 90° angle of knee flexion from the prone position. Using shear-wave elastography (SWE) and surface elec-tromyography, we measured the elastic modulus and root mean square (RMS) signal of the erector spinae (ES), multifidus (MF) semitendinosus (ST) and semimembranosus (SM) during different knee flexion angles. Changes on SWE modulus from 0 to 70% MVC were calculated. EMG was normalized to MVC value.
