Description

Fixed software and data snapshot accompanying the SoftwareX manuscript "EitHost: real-time EIT imaging software for plant stems" (v2.0.25; version record date: 2026-09-21). The archive includes the EitHost v2.0.25 source snapshot and self-contained Windows x64 build; a shared data catalog and finite-element meshes; single-plane tank four-state measurements (manuscript Figure 4); paired dual-plane bucket measurements (Figure S3); and source data plus rendered videos for Supplementary Video S1 (acrylic/copper objects, a single 10% mass-fraction KCl droplet, and increasing KCl concentrations). The recorded images, reference conditions, ROI results, and dual-plane pairing information support inspection and replay of the reported results. See README.md for file-to-figure mappings, acquisition timestamps, directory layout, and replay instructions. Software repository: https://github.com/CBZ199671/EitHost Paper snapshot release: https://github.com/CBZ199671/EitHost/releases/tag/v2.0.25 Software licence stated in the archive: MIT; third-party terms are listed in THIRD_PARTY_NOTICES.md inside the source package. The numerical backend (v2.0.3) has not yet been publicly released and is planned for a later release, as documented in README.md.

Steps to reproduce

1. Extract EitHost-Windows-x64_v2.0.25.zip. 2. Extract example-data-catalog-meshes.zip and the desired example-data ZIP files into a common Data directory beside EitHost.App.exe (or select that directory as the data root in the application). Preserve Data/eit_catalog.sqlite, Data/meshes/, and Data/runs/<date>/<record-id>/. 3. Start EitHost, open the Database workspace, and select the acquisition group using the timestamps and manuscript figure/video mappings listed in README.md. Replay the recorded images, reference conditions, and ROI results. Archived-data replay does not require acquisition hardware. 4. Dual-plane measurements consist of paired EIT-01 and EIT-02 records; the catalog pseudo3d_members table stores these pairings. Display and ROI parameters are saved with the records. 5. Re-demodulation or reconstruction from raw ADC data creates derived results with new processing provenance (Supplementary Sections S5 and S7). The numerical backend v2.0.3 is not yet public; see the archive README for this limitation. Live acquisition additionally requires the USB2070 driver and a serial DDS.
