Data associated with “Advanced maternal age alters renal morphology and metabolic profiles in mouse offspring”
Description
This dataset contains the numerical source data supporting the study investigating the effects of advanced maternal age on renal development and kidney phenotypes in mouse offspring. The dataset includes individual-level data used for the analyses of postnatal body weight, systolic blood pressure, kidney weight, renal histomorphometry, urinary measurements, mitochondrial DNA copy number (mtDNA-CN), and other phenotypic assessments presented in the main and supplemental figures and tables of the associated manuscript. Renal histomorphometric data include measurements such as cortical glomerular density and glomerular tuft area. Where multiple glomeruli or images were evaluated for an individual animal, the animal-level mean was used for statistical analysis. For the mtDNA-CN analysis, the dataset includes individual Ct values for the mitochondrial DNA target (Cox2) and nuclear DNA reference (Rps18), together with the calculated ΔCt, ΔΔCt, relative mtDNA-CN (2^−ΔΔCt), and values normalized to the mean of the CON group. Primer information is also provided. Experimental groups are designated as CON, representing offspring born to young control dams, and AMA, representing offspring born to dams of advanced maternal age. Sample identifiers, experimental groups, measured values, and units are provided in the corresponding worksheets. RNA-sequencing data and metabolomics data are deposited separately in dedicated public repositories.
