SupplementaryMaterial_AES_Validation_Colombia
Description
This supplementary material provides comprehensive statistical documentation for the first psychometric validation of the Agentic Engagement Scale (AES) in Latin America and its predictive analysis in a Colombian higher education context (N = 1,713). The file contains three sections: I. Psychometric Validation of the AES: Includes full item-level statistics (Table S1), the polychoric correlation matrix (Table S2), standardized factor loadings and communalities from the Confirmatory Factor Analysis (Table S3), threshold parameters for measurement invariance testing across gender (Table S4), and gender-specific reliability estimates (Table S5). II. Predictive Validity Analysis: Provides detailed results of the multiple regression analyses predicting academic performance (self-reported GPA). This includes the exploratory model regressing GPA on individual AES items (Table S6) and complete diagnostic tests for model assumptions (Table S7). All models control for gender and academic discipline and were validated using bootstrapping (999 replicates). III. Complete Reproduction Code: Offers the full R code script used to conduct all analyses reported in the main manuscript, ensuring full transparency and replicability. The code covers data preparation, reliability analysis, confirmatory factor analysis (CFA), measurement invariance testing, regression modeling, bootstrap validation, and assumption diagnostics.
