Dataset: Thoracoabdominal pressure transmission during prone and supine mechanical cardiopulmonary resuscitation in fresh-frozen human cadavers
Description
This dataset contains pressure measurements from a cadaveric study examining thoracoabdominal pressure transmission during prone and supine mechanical cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR). Two fresh-frozen human cadavers underwent repeated compression trials in both positions using a counterbalanced, within-specimen crossover design. Pleural, peritoneal, and central arterial pressures were recorded simultaneously using solid-state pressure catheters during LUCAS 3 mechanical compressions. The repository includes an Excel workbook containing tabulated study data and native LabChart files containing the original synchronized pressure recordings. These files support examination of pressure magnitude, waveform characteristics, and relationships among the three measurement sites across body positions. Native recording files require compatible LabChart software for viewing and analysis.
