Bibliometric Study Evolution of Swarm Intelligence

Description

This dataset accompanies the bibliometric study "Evolution of Swarm Intelligence Techniques in Wireless Network Optimization". It contains bibliographic records retrieved from the Scopus database for the period 2004–2026. The dataset includes publication metadata, citation information, author keywords, affiliations, source titles, and country contributions related to swarm intelligence applications in wireless communication networks. Bibliometric analyses were conducted using BiblioSpy® to examine publication trends, citation performance, collaboration patterns, and thematic developments. The dataset supports the reproducibility of the study and provides a valuable resource for researchers investigating swarm intelligence, wireless sensor networks, Internet of Things (IoT), routing optimisation, energy efficiency, and intelligent communication systems.

Steps to reproduce

The bibliographic records were retrieved from the Scopus database on 23 May 2026 using a predefined search query related to swarm intelligence, network optimisation, routing, communication, and performance. The retrieved records were exported in CSV format and imported into BiblioSpy® for data cleaning, metadata harmonisation, and bibliometric processing. Bibliometric indicators, including publication trends, citation analysis, source title analysis, country and institutional productivity, collaboration metrics, and keyword co-occurrence networks, were subsequently generated using BiblioSpy®. The processed dataset and visualisation outputs were then exported and used for analysis and reporting in the bibliometric study.
