Simulacion_CEEnf_V1
Description
Hypothesis: Participation in an educational intervention based on clinical simulation will increase participants’ knowledge and promote the development of technical and non-technical skills. Evidence of improvement in knowledge will be defined as a minimum 15% increase in the proportion of participants passing the knowledge test compared with baseline, while adequate development of practical skills will be defined as achieving at least 60% compliance with the criteria established for technical and non-technical skills.

Sequential mixed-methods pilot study involving nursing students, with a quantitative before-and-after component and an exploratory qualitative component. This dataset refers to the quantitative component. Five critical care simulation stations were conducted. Knowledge was assessed using pre- and post-tests, while performance was evaluated using checklists. Effectiveness was defined as a relative increase of ≥15% in knowledge and achievement of ≥60% of the predefined performance standards. The analysis included paired statistical tests, estimation of the simulation effect size, and assessment of its effectiveness.
