Green Mercantilism and Renewable-Energy Innovation

Description

This dataset contains the final research data used in the empirical analysis of the associated Energy Policy manuscript. It covers 26 OECD economies over 1990–2023 and includes measures of public renewable-energy RD&D, renewable-energy patenting, green mercantilist policy intensity, and relevant macroeconomic and energy-sector controls. The data were compiled and harmonized from publicly available sources, including the IEA, OECD, and World Bank. Variable definitions, sources, and transformations are provided in the accompanying documentation. The dataset is provided to support transparency, reproducibility, and verification of the reported empirical results.
