Improved Retinal Displacement Quantification Between Retinal Vessels and Corresponding Retinal Vessel Printings Across the 3D Spherical Surface of the Eye: Dataset of Measurements on Fundus Autofluorescence Imaging
Description
We provide a dataset on the displacement of the retina in patients who underwent pars plana vitrectomy (PPV) or pneumatic retinopexy (PnR). Using the methods described in Bhambra et al, 2022, we analyzed the displacement of 53 patients, of whom 35 underwent PPV and 19 underwent PnR using ultrawide-field fundus autofluorescence (UWF-FAF) imaging.1 In this dataset, we provide the individual pixel locations 170 corresponding vessel and retinal vessel printings (RVPs) for each image, along with their treatment (PPV or PnR) classification. All displacement pairs were taken from “Zone 1”, the area centered on the fovea with the radius of the area extending to the optic disc. From these pairs, we provide the calculated displacements in millimeters, as well as the angles of displacement for each image. From these 170 measurements, we provide the summated data considering the vector displacement across the entire image, accounting for each vessel and RVP pair in the image, as well as the corresponding angles of displacement. The analysis performed is reusable for future clinicians who are interested in performing similar analyses using the methods described in Bhambra et al., 2022 and who would like to measure retinal displacement using pixel coordinates of vessel and RVP pairs.
