Description

This repository contains the complete dataset and analytical scripts used in the study “Maternal Mortality Due to Abortion in Brazil: A Temporal, Regional, and Sociodemographic Analysis over the Last Three Decades.” The dataset comprises publicly available secondary data extracted from the Brazilian Health Informatics Department (DATASUS), including maternal mortality records due to abortion from 1990 to 2022. The data were systematically extracted, cleaned, organized, and structured for temporal, regional, and sociodemographic analyses. The repository includes: 1. Excel spreadsheets containing the raw extracted data and the cleaned and structured analytical datasets. 2. Fully annotated R scripts used for data processing, statistical analysis, and generation of tables and figures. All procedures were conducted to ensure reproducibility and transparency. The availability of both processed datasets and analytical code allows independent verification, replication, and secondary analyses. No individual-level identifiable information is included, as all data are aggregated and publicly accessible.
