Steps to reproduce

The Scopus database was searched on 9 June 2026 using the query TITLE-ABS-KEY ("managerial coaching" OR "leader coaching" OR "leadership coaching" OR "coaching leadership") AND TITLE-ABS-KEY (education OR school* OR principal* OR headteacher* OR headmaster* OR "school leader*" OR teacher*). The search retrieved 149 records, of which 57 records outside the Social Sciences subject area and 22 non-English or non-journal publications were excluded. The remaining 70 records were screened for eligibility, resulting in the exclusion of 21 records that fell outside the scope of leadership coaching research in educational contexts. The final dataset comprised 49 Scopus-indexed English-language journal articles classified within the Social Sciences subject area.
