Description

This dataset was constructed for the analysis of low-wage employment in Mexico using panel information derived from the National Occupation and Employment Survey (ENOE). The database includes demographic, educational, occupational, and labor-market variables, as well as derived indicators of low-wage employment based on relative income thresholds derived from real hourly wages. The dataset incorporates harmonized and deflated labor income measures, along with state-level indicators on the proportion of workers earning low wages across Mexican federal entities. The database was processed and structured for econometric analysis of determinants of persistence in low-wage employment. The dataset was developed for academic and research purposes in labor economics, inequality, and labor market studies in Mexico.
