# Description The "Resources folder" contains relevant resources for using the numerical analysis pipeline described in the resource paper: "Abaqus model, experimental data, and Fortran source code for simulating multiple macro-scale failure modes in large thin-walled composite structures" # Guide to navigating the "Resources folder" and its subfolders. In the main folder is the 3DComPFA subroutine: "3DComPFA.f" The "Abaqus input files" folder contains the input files for the wind turbine blade trailing edge subcomponent that is used as an example for the use of the subroutine. It contains the following: 1. The main input file for the wind turbine trailing edge subcomponent: "WTB_TE_Subcomponent.inp" 2. Four input files containing nodes called by the main input file: "Node_SSP_cut_nRB-19.15_L.inp", "Node_SSP_cut_nRB-22.15_L.inp", "Node_SSP_cut_sec-19.15.inp", "Node_SSP_cut_sec-22.15.inp" 3. An Abaqus results file used to trigger buckling: "SSP_CX6_U3Free_buckle_imperf.fil" The "Supplementary videos" folder contains video documentation on how to visualize the results obtained by the Abaqus model. It contains the following videos: 1. A guide to acquire the global structural response of the subcomponent: "S1 Structural response.mp4" 2. A guide to show the composite failure modes found by the 3DComPFA subroutine: "S2 Comp failure modes.mp4" 3. A guide to display the adhesive joint failure in the trailing edge: "S3 Adhesive.mp4" 4. A guide to visualize the foam core failure in the sandwich panels: "S4 Foam cores.mp4" The "Experimental data" folder contains the results from the physical experiment done on the blade subcomponent. It contains the following subfolders: 1. A folder with the displacement data: "DIC displacement data". This folder contains the following subfolders: a. A folder with displacement data for the blade segment at 20.6 m and 20.78 m: "Sec20602078" b. A folder with displacement data for the blade segment at 21.45 m and 21.55 m: "Sec21452155" c. A folder with displacement data for the trailing edge of the blade: "TE" 2. A folder containing images of the displacements: "DIC displacement images". These images include displacements at blade segment 20.6 m, 20.78 m, 21.45 m, 21.55 m and at the trailing edge. The folder also contains an excel file with the stage number and time stamps of specific percentages of the peak load: "DIC_Time Correlation between stage and load percentage.xlsx" 3. A folder with images of the experiment: "Experiment pictures and videos" The folder is divided into two subfolders: a. A folder with images of the experimental setup: "Experiment" b. A folder with images of the test specimen after the experiment: "Post-failure investigation" 4. A folder with processed data: "Test machine data". This folder contains an excel file with the load, the actuator displacement and strain measurements on the suction and pressure side of the blade: "Load cell, actuator displacement and strain gauges.xlsx"
