The data spans from 1920 to 2023, capturing a comprehensive historical overview of military presence in the Turkish parliament. The dataset contains the following variables: Term: The parliamentary term (e.g., 1st Term, 2nd Term). Years: The years during which the specific parliamentary term was active. Total Number of Deputies: The total number of MPs elected to the TBMM for that term. Number of Deputies with a Military Background: The count of MPs who had a professional background in the Turkish Armed Forces.
