Description

The dataset consisted of official assessment of N95 respirators that were not approved by NIOSH. This information was obtained from the online source provided by the National Institute for Occupational Safety & Health (NIOSH, https://www.cdc.gov/niosh/npptl/respirators/testing/default.html). The National Personal Protective Technology Laboratory (NPPTL), a division of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in the United States, conducted all the assessments. A grand total of 7,413 testing results, encompassing details such as the manufacturer, model, maximum and minimum filtration efficiency, as well as test parameters like flow rate, initial filter resistance (mmH2O), and initial percent leakage (%), were transformed and transcribed from images into data that can be processed. Data verification was performed, and supplementary items were added to increase the interpretability, however, the original raw data was retained.
