Effect of Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation on Pain, Neck Proprioception, and Sleep Quality in Individuals with Cervicogenic Headache
Description
This dataset contains the data collected for the study titled “Effect of Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation on Pain, Neck Proprioception, and Sleep Quality in Individuals with Cervicogenic Headache.” The study was conducted to evaluate the effectiveness of proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation (PNF) techniques on reducing pain intensity, improving cervical proprioception, and enhancing sleep quality in individuals diagnosed with cervicogenic headache. Outcome measures included the Numeric Pain Rating Scale (NPRS), Cervical Joint Position Error Test (CJPET), Headache Impact Test (HIT), and Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI). Pre- and post-intervention data were collected from participants in both experimental and control groups. The dataset includes demographic details, baseline characteristics, and outcome measure scores used for statistical analysis and interpretation of treatment effects.

Steps to reproduce
Recruit individuals diagnosed with cervicogenic headache according to the inclusion and exclusion criteria. Obtain informed consent and record demographic and baseline characteristics of all participants. Assess baseline outcome measures including Numeric Pain Rating Scale (NPRS), Cervical Joint Position Error Test (CJPET), Headache Impact Test (HIT), and Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI). Allocate participants into experimental and control groups. Administer proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation (PNF) intervention along with conventional physiotherapy treatment to the experimental group, while the control group receives conventional physiotherapy treatment alone. Conduct treatment sessions as per the study protocol for the specified duration. Reassess all outcome measures after completion of the intervention period. Perform statistical analysis to compare pre- and post-intervention outcomes within and between groups to determine the effectiveness of the intervention.
