Description

Retrofitting existing buildings is a key priority for decarbonising the built environment and achieving net-zero targets. However, the delivery of retrofit at scale is constrained by significant green skills shortages across the construction sector. While the skills gap in Further Education have attracted considerable attention, less emphasis has been given to Higher Education. This database addresses that gap by mapping how Higher Education courses and modules engage with retrofit-related knowledge and skills, including sustainability, building physics, energy systems, existing buildings, climate change, and design.
