Description

This dataset supports the study of potential habitat suitability and farm-level infestation severity of the cocoa pod borer (Conopomorpha cramerella) in Enrekang Regency, South Sulawesi, Indonesia. It contains anonymized farm-level observations from 157 cocoa farms, 98 spatially filtered occurrence records used for MaxEnt modelling, environmental-variable information, MaxEnt model summaries, habitat-suitability area estimates under current and future climate scenarios (SSP245 and SSP585), and data-validation documentation. The dataset supports analyses of relationships between environmental conditions and potential habitat suitability, as well as associations of elevation and farm management with observed infestation severity.

Steps to reproduce

The workbook contains the data and summary information supporting the analyses reported in the associated study. Farm-level data include anonymized observations of elevation zone, farm-management condition, and ordinal cocoa pod borer infestation severity. The occurrence dataset contains 98 spatially filtered presence records used for MaxEnt modelling. Environmental predictors, model settings, suitability-area summaries, and validation notes are documented in the corresponding workbook sheets. Species distribution modelling was conducted using MaxEnt version 3.4.4 with 10-fold cross-validation, 10,000 background points, automatic feature classes, a regularization multiplier of 1, and cloglog output. Ordinal infestation-severity analyses were conducted using the procedures described in the associated manuscript. Detailed methodological procedures and data sources are provided in the manuscript.
