Description

This dataset describes cold season sedimentation and flow conditions in the Halikonlahti Bay, coastal area of the Northern Baltic Sea in 2018 - 2020. Sediment data have been collected with four bottom-mounted sediment traps during cold seasons in 2018 - 2020. Flow conditions for the study area were modelled with Delft3D Flow (Version 4.04.01). Methods and dataset are discussed more detailed in Salmela et al. 2021. Data ownership belongs to Department of Geography and Geology, University of Turku. For more detailed information, please contact Jouni Salmela (jouni.salmela@utu.fi) or Saija Saarni (saija.saarni@utu.fi). Data consist of the following items: - Sedimentation - Sediment accumulation rate (SAR) - Organic and minerogenic matter - C/N ratio - D50 mean gran size - Sediment grain size distribution - Flow conditions
