1.Table figure 1. Effect of SITS on the viability of E. histolytica trophozoites. The viability of the parasites after 1 h of incubation with the SITS inhibitor at 600, 100 and 10 µM was testing with trypan blue. The total of viable cells and samples was taken as 100% and the total of viable trophozoites was plotted by condition. 2.Table figure 2A. Hemoglobin quantification to 397 nm in the erythrophagocytosis assay at 5 min at different pHs previous incubation with DMSO and 100 µM SITS of three independent experiments. 3.Table figure 2C. Data of densitometric analysis of hemoglobin. Values were normalized with the densitometric value of pH 6.0 and it was taken as 100% from in SDS-PAGE of three independent assays by coomassie blue staining. 4.Table figure 3. Phagocytosed erythrocytes. The number of erythrocytes (RBCs) per trophozoite was recorded in amoebas preincubated with DMSO and with SIST 100 µm after erythrophagocytosis in suspension for 5 min at different pHs and evaluated by immunofluorescence.
