Description

This dataset supports the study that develops and validates a mathematical approach (MA) for rapidly determining soil water infiltration rate curves based on a modified Kostiakov model. The modification introduces two parameters (a and b) governing the transient infiltration rate and its decay over time, with the steady infiltration rate (f_c) assumed equal to the saturated hydraulic conductivity (K_s). The MA enables prediction of the complete infiltration curve from only two measured infiltration rates plus K_s, substantially reducing the time, labor, and water typically required for full infiltration measurements.
