In our current study “Crack-induced shear-wave orthorhombic anisotropy: Modeling and inversion of borehole shear-wave logging data,” we analyzed the elastic properties of crack-induced orthorhombic rocks based on recent-advanced effective scattering method with higher accuracy. Moreover, an inversion method was developed to estimate the shear anisotropy parameters from the four-component shear-wave logging measurement in a vertical borehole through the orthorhombic rock. We have demonstrated the validity and effectiveness of the method using synthetic and field acoustic data.
