Description

A total of 16 drilling experiments, based on the full-factorial combination of the 3 predictors (cutting fluid, cutting speed, and pecking), were performed on the CNC 5-axis machining center. Three through-holes were drilled in each experimental run. For each run, the measurements regarding tool wear (VB), force components (Fxy and Fz), specific cutting energy (SCE), surface roughness (Ra), hole circularity at entry and exit (Cr1 and Cr2), hole coaxiality, and process cost (PC) were performed using the aforementioned measuring instruments.
