Emergy Data: Sugar Beet Systems in Khorasan, Iran
Description
This dataset contains the complete emergy accounting data and sustainability analysis for irrigated sugar beet production across 17 counties in Razavi Khorasan (13 counties) and North Khorasan (4 counties), Iran. It includes raw input-use data, emergy evaluation tables, sustainability indicators (EYR, ELR, ESI, %R, EIPS), Composite Resilience Index (CIR) under a drought scenario, Monte Carlo simulation results (10,000 iterations), and sensitivity analysis. All Unit Emergy Values are corrected to the 12.0 × 10²⁴ sej/yr global baseline. Data were collected via field surveys and secondary environmental sources. Keywords: Emergy synthesis; Sugar beet; Sustainability; Groundwater depletion; Resilience; Monte Carlo; Khorasan; Iran

Steps to reproduce
Collect primary farm survey data and secondary environmental data (see Raw_Data sheet) Convert all inputs to solar emergy using Unit Emergy Values from UEV_Coefficients (GEB = 12.0×10²⁴ sej/yr) Compute emergy-based indicators (EYR, ELR, ESI, %R, EIPS) using formulas in Table 3 Apply drought scenario (Rain −30%, River −50%, Groundwater +20%, Electricity +15%, Fuel +15%) to compute CIR Run 10,000-iteration Monte Carlo simulation with log-normal distributions (CVs from Table 4, seed=123) Conduct OFAT sensitivity analysis with ±10% perturbations to identify most influential category All calculations performed in Python (NumPy, pandas, SciPy); results tabulated in Excel
