This paper builds on the recovered panel generated by Cruz and Rossi-Hansberg (2024), but its contribution is distinct. Rather than estimating structural damage functions or long-run welfare effects, it asks whether medium-run climate variation is reflected more clearly in the amenity margin than in recovered productivity or population.
