Description
A lot number is a unique sequence of digits applied to record and differentiate the samples which are characterized based on the element of fuel type, location, company, and brand. It is also used to track the result of each sample. The lot number assigned utilizes abbreviations to indicate specific information about the oil samples used. There are 5 and 10 samples donated by APMM obtained in Johor and Terengganu, respectively. "OIL" is used to denote that the sample is an oily sample. Then, "SLDJ" represents Sungai Lebam Desaru in Johor, while "PTT" signifies the Pantai Timur in Terengganu, indicating the locations where the samples were taken. The number "23" indicates the year when the oil sample was collected from the study site. Moreover, the postcodes for the respective locations are incorporated as well. The postcode "819" corresponds to Sungai Lebam Desaru in Johor, while "203" is the postcode for the Pantai Timur, Terengganu. Lastly, numbers are employed to differentiate between various types of oil samples, serving the purpose of facilitating the study and analysis.
