The dataset systematically reveals the century-long trajectory of transformation in geography education from a knowledge-transmission paradigm to one centered on core competencies.

Steps to reproduce

Data for this study were collected following a two-tier principle: official governmental channels as primary sources, supplemented by specialized archival resources. The dataset encompasses three critical dimensions: education policies, curriculum standards, and teaching materials, ensuring both authoritative validity and comprehensive coverage. The structured dataset is stored in Excel format, with a detailed data dictionary that specifies field names, data types, value ranges, illustrative examples, and evidentiary sources for each field.
