Description

This repository contains the raw and processed datasets supporting the manuscript "Microbial nitrogen retention strategy in deep continental-slope sediments: Biological nitrogen fixation and DNRA completely overwhelmed nitrogen loss". The files include geochemical parameters, potential rates of nitrogen transformation processes (15N isotope-tracer incubations), functional gene amplicon sequencing results, microbial community data, statistical analysis tables, and figure source data. These data were generated from two continental-slope sediment cores collected from the northern South China Sea and are provided to ensure the reproducibility of all analyses presented in the manuscript.
