Particle size distribution data of ibuprofen micro/nanoparticles.
Description
In this study, we developed a method for preparing monodisperse ibuprofen micro/nanoparticles, which is called gas-liquid interface-confined liquid film cooling crystallization. In this process, a continuous ultra-thin organic liquid film is constructed on the water surface, and the heterogeneous heat and mass transfer is eliminated by using the interface restriction effect, so that synchronous homogeneous nucleation is realized. In order to systematically explore the influence of various process conditions on particle characteristics, we adjusted solvent composition, solute concentration, cooling endpoint temperature, liquid film thickness and liquid film diameter to optimize the crystallization system. The size distribution of the particles obtained under these conditions is listed in the following table.
