This dataset provides supporting materials for the manuscript "Paleoenvironments, Provenance, and Reservoir Characterization: Integrating Litho-Ichnofacies, Petrography, and Geochemistry of Compound Sandstone-Shale in the Jurassic Datta Formation, Western Salt Range, NW Himalayas." Steps to reproduce

Here are some of the steps to reproduce: Field Data Collection: Conducted sedimentological logging of the Jurassic Datta Formation at selected outcrop locations in the Western Salt Range, NW Himalayas. Documented lithofacies characteristics and ichnofacies using detailed stratigraphic sections. Petrographic Analysis: Collected sandstone and shale samples for thin-section preparation. Performed modal analysis using point counting under a petrographic microscope. Geochemical Analysis: Conducted X-ray fluorescence (XRF) and X-ray diffraction (XRD) analyses to determine bulk geochemistry and mineralogical composition. Measured major and trace element concentrations to infer provenance and diagenetic alterations. Data Processing & Interpretation: Integrated sedimentological, ichnological, petrographic, and geochemical datasets. Used standard classification schemes and reservoir quality assessment techniques to interpret depositional environments and reservoir potential.
