Jaral de Berrios Data
Description
The focus of our work was the application of Electromagnetic and Electrical methods for the detection and characterization of active geological faults affecting agricultural plots, both near the surface and at depth, at a site near Jaral de Berrios, Guanajuato, México. During this investigation, thanks to the application and comparison of Electromagnetic Profiling (EMP) and Electrical Resistivity Tomography (ERT) we found that faulting and fracturing that currently has a limited surface expression, not only continues at depth, but has a wider extension than previously thought (maximum faults extension of 400 m in length and 40 cm in width, affecting 40 m deep of the ground surface). We also demonstrated that resistivity signals on active geological fault planes not only are of low resistivity values, but also of high values since most faults are non-filled with minerals and humidity.

Contour map should be created based on the EMP data, while ERT data should be inverted for profile creation.
