Description

This dataset provides experimental results of sound absorption coefficients for sound-absorbing panels developed from textile waste materials. A total of five panel types were manufactured from different textile compositions: wool, polyester, linen, cotton, and a mixed sample (composed of 50% polyester, 30% cotton, 10% wool, 5% linen, and 5% other fiber blend). Measurements were carried out using the impedance tube method, covering a wide frequency range (6.25 - 6393.75 Hz). For each material type, three test specimens were prepared. Two datasets are provided: • Raw_data.xlsx — contains the unprocessed sound absorption coefficient values measured for each frequency and measurement repetition. • Mean_SD.xlsx — contains the averaged (Mean) sound absorption coefficient values with corresponding standard deviations (SD) calculated across all repetitions. These data support the evaluation of the acoustic performance of sustainable materials and enable comparison with conventional sound-absorbing products. The dataset can be used for further research in circular economy applications, eco-friendly acoustic material design, and environmental engineering studies.
