Factors affecting acceptance of carbon tax in Azerbaijan: Environmental concerns, perceived social benefits, and trust in government (Version 2)

Description

This is an updated version of the dataset for the project entitled “Factors affecting acceptance of carbon tax in Azerbaijan: Environmental concerns, perceived social benefits, and trust in government.” The original dataset (DOI:10.17632/5fy66tzb9f.1) had a minor coding error (numeric codes for the variable RENTAL were inputted incorrectly). This project explores the effects of environmental concerns, perceived social benefits of carbon taxation, as well as trust in the government to use the tax revenue responsibly, on accepting this tax policy based on the case of Azerbaijan. We test the hypotheses grounded in the literature connecting environmental concerns and recognition of social benefits of environmental protection with attitudinal or behavioral effects.
