Hepcidin Alleviates Retinopathy of Prematurity by Regulating Oxidative Stress and Angiogenesis

We found that under hypoxic conditions, human retinal microvascular endothelial cells (hRMECs) exhibited oxidative stress and displayed excessive proliferation during short-term hypoxia, while hepcidin alleviated both the oxidative stress levels and abnormal proliferation in hypoxia-exposed hRMECs.
