The dataset used in this research paper focuses on demographic characteristics, challenges, satisfaction levels, awareness and utilization of safety-related policies, safety perception, and the relationship between age groups and safety concerns of solo women travellers. 3.1. Design of the Research In order to provide a means of comprehending the perspectives and experiences of women travelling alone in India, this study combines quantitative and qualitative research questions. 3.2. Goals of the Research 1. The purpose of the study is to identify some of the main challenges faced by women travelling alone in India. 2. To evaluate how well these issues have been addressed by current tourist policies and strategies. 3. To provide workable solutions to improve the safety and acceptance of women in the travel and tourist sector. 3.3. Information Gathering 1. Surveys: Five hundred unaccompanied women tourists from India's major cities (Delhi, Mumbai), historic cities (Jaipur, Agra), and rural areas (Rajasthan, Sikkim, and Goa) were given a structured questionnaire. Moving from one location to another might present risks and challenges. • Customer satisfaction with service facilities and infrastructures; • Improvement suggestions. 2. Interviews: Fifty stakeholders, including representatives from the tourism ministry, participated in semi-structured interviews. • Tour operators and hotel managers; • Female travellers alone. 3. Field Observations: Researchers physically inspected ten popular tourist destinations to assess the infrastructure of femininity as a whole, including public toilets, lighting, and public transportation. 3.4. Tools for Analysis 1. Quantitative Analysis: To ascertain the researchers' conclusions and enlightening experiences of female tourists travelling alone, the survey data were processed using descriptive statistics. 2. Qualitative Analysis: Data from field observations and cognitive interviews were processed using thematic analysis, which revealed emerging themes centred on safety concerns, gender inequality and power, and insufficient infrastructure.
