Description

The data delineate classroom practice in which the integration of differentiated instruction and genre-based pedagogical approaches were implemented to support the discipline-specific academic writing of PhD students in need of disciplinary literacy development. The datasets cover the demographics, disciplines, and the academic writing learning and practice backgrounds of the PhD students. In addition, the data include details about the instructional procedure, learning materials used and the outcomes of the integrated pedagogical approaches for the learners. The datasets provide some insight into how academic literacy learners from multi-disciplines who learn in the same classroom can be supported with well-structured classroom teaching which is highly sensitive to the diverse disciplines as learning contexts in the classroom.
