Research Data on EFL Lecturers’ Learning-Theory Orientations and Pedagogical Beliefs in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq

This repository contains anonymised quantitative survey responses from 118 university English as a Foreign Language (EFL) lecturers in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq, together with the questionnaire instrument, semi-structured interview guide, and supporting data documentation. The questionnaire comprises 20 five-point Likert-scale items measuring behaviourist, cognitive/constructivist, and humanistic learning-theory orientations. The quantitative dataset also includes participants’ qualification, academic title, and grouped teaching experience. Participant-level institutional affiliation has been withheld to protect institutional confidentiality. Aggregate institutional frequencies are reported in Table 1 of the accompanying manuscript using anonymised identifiers A–E. Owing to the risk of indirect identification and the conditions of participant consent, complete qualitative interview transcripts and audio recordings are not publicly available. Anonymised illustrative quotations supporting the qualitative findings are reported in the accompanying manuscript.
